Dear colleagues and friends,
Welcome to Berlin .
On behalf of the European Association for Haematopathology (EA4HP) and the Society for Hematopathology (SH), it is my great pleasure as the head of the local organizing committee to invite you for the second time after 36 years to Germany again and particularly to Berlin, to attend the 23rd Meeting of the EA4HP. This will be held from 3rd to 8th October 2026 at the KOSMOS Berlin, a historic building inaugurated as cinema in 1961, which has been extensively modernized and provides state of the art technology and infrastructure. The meeting venue is in close distance to Alexanderplatz where numerous hotels, amenities and sites of interest can be found. For the participants unable to join us in Germany, there will be an option to register for the hybrid version of the meeting.
An exciting and interdisciplinary scientific programme is being currently delineated by the scientific committee considering also the proposals of the members who participated at an earlier EA4HP survey. The programme will offer a well-balanced mixture of scientific and practical issues of the topics to be covered. The general outline of the meeting will follow the traditional format starting with the educational session, followed by the Bone Marrow and Lymphoma symposia and workshops. The scientific programme will encompass also “Meet the Professor” sessions, satellite symposia, poster presentations and discussion. The faculty will include internationally renowned speakers that will address the most recent issues and controversies in the field of hematopathology.
Berlin, the capital and largest city of Germany is renowned for its exceptional range of historic landmarks, vibrant cultural scene and its unique atmosphere where history and future collide. It is one of the few cities that is home to three UNESCO World Heritage sites, the only city in the world to host three opera houses and can boast of more museums than the number of rainy days. Berlin also offers a high-octane nightlife and an exceptional dining diversity. The local organizing committee is working hard to provide an exciting social programme that will introduce you to some of what Berlin has to offer. Berlin is a large city, however easy to explore by its extensive public transport network. Tours and social events are also available in Berlin to give participants a richer experience of Berlin and its surroundings.
I am confident that this meeting will be an outstanding event, both professionally and socially.
See you in Berlin 2026!
